Stock linked to the scales and invoicing
Distribution company
The warehouse worker just puts the goods on the scale. The weight is recorded automatically, and the label and invoice are created without any retyping, up to 250 documents a day.
How it used to be
Warehouse staff worked with paper dispatch notes, and someone had to type the actual weights into the system afterwards. Invoicing hundreds of documents a day took hours. There were several companies, each with its own documents, and mistakes crept in.
How it works now
A warehouse worker opens the dispatch note on a tablet and puts the goods on the scale. The weight is recorded automatically and the printer prints a label. A robot issues the invoices for the whole day for all the companies at once. If something gets stuck, it tries again by itself and sends an email to the colleagues.
What we’ve built
- A tablet app for warehouse staff
- Connecting the scale and label printer to the accounting system
- A robot that issues invoices for all the companies
- Monitoring that everything runs smoothly, plus a daily summary by email
A real project, we don’t name the client.
